PENNANT FINALS - Three wins = Two Flags:

Eastern Park Bowls Club

After 18 home and away matches and one week of finals, our Division 2 and 6 sides have together amassed 25 victories.

Three more and we will have two flags.

After a day of absolute high drama our boys returned from Belmont and Highton after recording two sensational and historic wins.

A GREAT EFFORT

The Eastern Park team created Club history by finishing Winners of their Section in the 2010 Evening Pennant Competition making them eligible to compete in the Semi Finals.

Unfortunately, our guys ran into an in-form Geelong West team and their great run came to an end.

To finish in the top 4 is a huge credit to our club and further indicates that the direction in which we are heading is up.

CONGRATULATIONS TO 2009/2010 CHAMPION

Congratulations to Aaron Hyatt on becoming the Club Singles Champion for Season 2009/2010.

Throughout the series Aaron displayed some masterly skills and, perhaps even more importantly, nerves of steel. Some of the shots he played in the rounds leading up to the final were awe inspiring and to prove they were no flukes he just continued to repeat them.

With Ron Imanse appearing in his third Singles Championship Final and Aaron in his second, the match promised to be a dour struggle. The crowd was not let down as both bowlers delivered some superb bowls, but in the end Aaron held his nerve and bowled with wonderful consistency ending up the well deserved victor.

Uniform requirements are to be adhered to.

Bowlers who are unavailable for any particular round should clearly show their name on the list provided for this purpose (before Monday evening)and should take care that it is entered for the correct date and round.

Pennant teams will be uploaded to this website as soon as selection is completed.

Bowlers who find they are unable to play after teams have been selected must personally notify one of the Selectors as early as possible.

The aspirations and expectations for season 2009/10 are to build on the success of last season and thus we ask for the co-operation and support of each and every member in order to attain these goals.

N.B.      The Selectors have indicated that consideration will be given to bowlers who attend practice games and practice sessions. Bowlers with aspirations of playing in Division 2 or 6 should take particular note.
